Crews continue repairs to burst in Dungarvan
Alternative water supplies to be provided while repair works continue
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Uisce Éireann crews are continuing works to repair a significant burst at Springmount Roundabout in Dungarvan today.
Customers in the area may experience an interruption to their water supply, low pressure or reduced pressure while repair works are ongoing.
Alternative water supplies will be available from approximately 3pm today, with bottled water and a water tanker being provided at Eurofins/Dungarvan GAA Club.
Customers using water from the tanker are reminded to boil the water before use for drinking, food preparation and brushing teeth and to bring their own clean containers.
Once repairs are complete, it may take some time for the network to refill and for normal water pressure and supply to fully return to all affected areas. Customers at higher elevations or at the end of the network may experience a longer recovery time as the system recharges.
Uisce Éireann acknowledges the inconvenience caused by this unplanned interruption and thanks customers in Dungarvan for their patience and understanding while crews continue working to complete repairs and restore normal water supply.
A second burst, located at the Old Glass Factory, has been successfully repaired.
