Ballymoe water outage: Supply restored as network recharges overnight

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Water supply has now been fully restored to customers in Ballymoe following an overnight pump failure.

Our crews in Uisce Éireann worked throughout the day to repair the issue and recharge the network and all customers should now have their normal water supply.

We know how disruptive it can be for families and businesses to be without water, and we would like to thank the Ballymoe community for its patience and understanding today while these essential works were carried out.

To ensure the network has an opportunity to fully replenish and maintain supply levels, nighttime restrictions will remain in place tonight from 11pm to 8am.

This temporary measure will help ensure a reliable water supply is maintained for the community in the days ahead.

Providing an update, Ger Greally of Uisce Éireann said:
"We are pleased to report that repairs have been completed, and the network is recharging, with normal water supply restored to customers across Ballymoe.

"To help safeguard supplies and allow reservoirs to continue recovering, nighttime restrictions will remain in place tonight. These temporary measures will help ensure the network remains stable and resilient."
