Crews working to restore water supply in South Roscommon

11 October 2026

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Customers and businesses in South Roscommon may be experiencing disruptions to their water supply this afternoon following a mechanical issue at Killeglan Water Treatment Plant. This is impacting supply to customers in Brideswell, Corrowduff, Taughmaconnell, Dysart, Moore, Parkmore, Kilgarve, Ballydanagan, and the outskirts of Ballinasloe town in County Roscommon. Our crews are making every effort to restore normal service at the plant as quickly and safely as possible.

Ger Greally, at Uisce Éireann, said: "We understand how inconvenient an unexpected water outage can be. Our crews are working to restore supply following a mechanical issue at the treatment plant which has impacted production. We really appreciate everyone in the community bearing with us while our crews get water back to homes and businesses”.

Supporting customers, especially those who may be more vulnerable during service interruptions, remains a priority. Registered vulnerable customers receive direct communications from Uisce Éireann for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.
