Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Uisce Éireann crews have responded to and repaired a burst watermain in Cecilstown, County Cork. The network is now refilling, and supply will begin to return to impacted customers in the area with supply expected to be fully restored by 5pm this evening.
The unplanned outage resulted in customers in Castlemagner, Cecilstown, Barragh Cross and Sally’s Cross, Kanturk experiencing a disruption to their water supply.
Michael Bell of Uisce Éireann said: “We understand the impact of an unplanned outage, and we thank the community for their patience while the repairs were being carried out."
Typically, it takes three to four hours following repairs for normal supply to be restored to all customers affected by an unplanned outage. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers at the end of the network or on higher ground as the system recharges.
