Crews continuing efforts to restore supply to customers in Bunmahon

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Uisce Éireann crews are continuing efforts to restore normal water supply to customers in Bunmahon. While water supply has been restored to the majority of customers through a series of network interventions, a small number of customers continue to experience low pressure and/or intermittent outages.

Crews remain on site and are working to resolve the issue and restore normal water to all affected customers as quickly as possible.

Alternative water supplies remain in place at Copperhill and in Bunmahon Village beside the public toilets.

Customers are reminded to use clean containers when collecting water from tankers and, as a precautionary measure, to boil water before consumption.

Uisce Éireann's Maura Phelan said: “We understand the impact that water supply interruptions can have on homes and businesses and would like to thank the community for its continued patience and support. Our crews are working tirelessly to restore supply to the remaining affected customers as quickly as possible.”

Previous updates

Uisce Éireann crews are working to restore water to customers in Bunmahon and the surrounding areas after an unplanned interruption has led to customers in the area experiencing an interruption to their water supply.

Customers in Kildwan, Ballinasisla, Bunmahon Village and the surrounding areas are experiencing supply disruptions, low pressure, or intermittent outages as a result.

An alternative water supply via a standpipe is currently available for customers at Copperhill, while further alternative supplies will be made available in the village tomorrow morning located at the public toilets.

Customers are reminded to use their own containers when taking water from tankers and to boil water before consumption as a precautionary measure.
Commenting on the works, Maura Phelan, Uisce Éireann, said:

"We understand the inconvenience that unplanned outages can cause for customers, homes and businesses. Our crews are working to restore supply as quickly and safely as possible and restore normal water supply to all affected customers."
