Essential night-time restrictions required to protect water supplies in Cashel and Rosegreen

Essential nighttime restrictions will be in place this evening for customers in the Cashel and Rosegreen areas due to low treated water reservoir levels.

The restrictions are necessary to allow the treated water reservoirs to recover overnight so we can protect and maintain daytime supplies for homes and businesses. As a result, some customers will experience low pressure or loss of water supply between the hours of 8pm and 8:30am.

The areas affected include parts of Cashel town, including Friar St, Ard Mhuire, Bregaun estate, Spa Field, Old Road, The Green, Boherclough, Cahir Rd, and surrounding areas. These restrictions will also affect customers in Ballydaugh, Ballyfawloo, Tullamain, Kilbraugh, Coolmoyne, Derryluskin, Knockbrit and Ballyvadin served by Rosegreen Reservoir.

Uisce Éireann’s Pierce Faherty has assured customers that every effort is being made to restore supply to normal levels. “We understand the impact of overnight restrictions, but these measures are necessary to ensure continuous daytime supply for homes and businesses while treated water reservoir levels recover.”
