New year will bring a more secure water supply for Durrow

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

It’s set to be a busy start to the new year on the Derry Road, Durrow with Uisce Éireann crews on site from next week as a programme of mains replacement begins.

The project will see the replacement of more than 1km of aging mains with new, modern pipes. The works will take place along the Derry Road.

Dave Murphy, Portfolio Manager at Uisce Éireann, said the works will provide customers in Durrow with a more secure and reliable drinking water supply.

“The replacement of these water mains will improve the resilience of the network, eliminate existing leaks, and reduce the amount of clean water lost into the ground. We would like to thank the local community for their support and patience in advance as we carry out these essential works.”

Shareridge is carrying out these works under Uisce Éireann’s National Leakage Reduction Programme and they are expected to be completed by early spring.
