Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Update 15:30pm: Water supply is returning to normal for Uisce Éireann customers in the vicinity of the Old Dublin Road in Galway City who were impacted by an outage this morning.

Uisce Éireann crews have completed their repairs to a burst on a water main which caused supply disruptions and instances of low pressure for homes and businesses in the vicinity of the Old Dublin Road Lower, including Sáilín and Wellpark Grove.

Repairs were completed at approximately 2pm and supply is now returning to normal for impacted customers in the area.

Typically, it can take three to four hours for normal supply to be fully restored to all properties after an unplanned outage. Customers located at the end of the network or on higher ground may experience longer restoration times as the system recharges.

Uisce Éireann’s Teresa Burke thanked customers affected by the unplanned outage for their patience while repairs were in progress.

“We understand the frustration that can be caused by unplanned service disruptions, and we thank customers for their understanding,” said Teresa.

“Our crews worked as quickly as possible to repair the burst and restore supply, and normal service is now returning to impacted customers.”
