Water supply returning to customers supplied by Roscrea Water Treatment Plant
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
A full water supply is returning to customers in Tipperary and Offaly following an operational issue at Roscrea Water Treatment Plant this morning.
Uisce Éireann crews have resolved the issue and the network is now recharging.
Customers supplied by the plant in Roscrea and surrounding areas should see their normal water supply returning within a couple of hours.
Uisce Éireann’s John Fogerty thanked those affected for their patience this morning and explained that it can take a number of hours for the network to refill following an unplanned outage.
“I expect the majority of customers to have a normal water supply tonight however it can take longer for those customers at the end of the network or on higher ground.”
Uisce Éireann is committed to keeping customers informed across multiple platforms 24/7 and we encourage customers to engage with us through our website, X channel @IWCare and through our customer care helpline which is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278.
